Thoughtful resident’s dog bowl idea at walking route raises £77 for RSPCA Westmorland

A man’s simple act of kindness has raised just over £77 for the RSPCA Westmorland Branch – all from a dog water bowl and a collection pot outside his home.

Alan, who lives on a popular walking route up Arnside Knott, has long put out a bowl of fresh water for passing dogs.

This summer, he decided to go one step further and asked the RSPCA Westmorland Branch if he could add one of their charity collection dogs outside too.
