This is a stunning point-to-point trail along the White Cliffs of Dover beginning at Cover Priory train station and taking you past Deal Castle to Deal train station. The views of the chalky white cliffs are stunning year-round. The White Cliffs Visitor Centre is a short way into your walk, it offers information on the area as well as a cafe and public toilets. From the seafront you will also be treated to a view of Dover Castle on a hill overlooking the town, and later you will pass by Deal Castle. Deal castle was built on the orders of Henry VIII, and is an early example of an English Artillery Castle. Tours of the castle are available, details are available on the English Heritage website. There are many adjoining paths to explore if you wish to shorten or lengthen your route. There are some hill climbs to navigate and some muddy sections along the trail, so make sure to wear sturdy shoes.
