Pluckley and Little Chart Circular

Check out this 6.8-km circular trail near Ashford, Kent. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 40 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and running, so you’ll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome and may be off-lead in some areas.
This trail takes you on a lovely winding route through fields and orchards surrounding England’s most haunted village which holds a Guinness record for the number of ghosts believed to reside here. This includes a miller, a colonel, the Red Lady, and a phantom coach and horse, among many others. The route is generally flat with some gentle slopes. It can get muddy in few places but is a fantastic tour with lovely views, lots of different landscapes, forests, fields. There are also a number of gates and stiles along this trail. Appropriate footwear is advised. The final section follows part of the Greensand Way, through orchards back to the village. Please note, you will be passing through active farmland so there may be livestock along the paths. Care is needed if out with dogs.
