This pleasant riverside trail will lead you along the banks of the River Medway and through a mixture of woodland and grassland and could easily be linked to a route to West Farleigh, if you would like a longer one. A lovely escapade in the country to stretch your legs, digest lunch or dinner, or just get back out to the peaceful realm of nature, this trail offers lovely views, historic sites, and chance to spot wildlife. Take care on the rougher sections, especially in wetter conditions when the paths can be very muddy and slippery. There are also road sections that are narrow with limited space for pedestrians, please take care. Great care should be taken if out with dogs as there may be livestock along the paths. Parking at the trailhead requires a fee and there is also the option to start the route from Wateringbury train station.
